Initially, few Prem Sparsh members were inspired by Sri Satya Sai Baba based out of Puttaparti, Andhra Pradesh, started the charity in the year 2003 by providing Narayan Seva, khichdi or other hot food, every Sunday to the slum children and daily labourers based at Kandivali West, Mumbai. Many members joined over the years and activities kept expanding which included distribution of monthly Ration Kit to needy families especially widows, providing part education fees to needy students, medicine and medical bill part payment support etc. Distribution of Note Books started on a small scale in year 2003 with the distribution of 200 dozen notebook at Kandivali West, Mumbai and over the years expanded to many places especially rural areas in the interior parts of Karnataka, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra and the distribution peaked 10000 note books.

With the support from the like-minded people and corporates and a strong belief to extend helping hand, we try to reduce the hardship and provide support to the needy people for their food and educational requirements.

Prem Sparsh is an organization which is meant for the people and by the people. We consider ourselves as their voice and face who are deprived of the basic amenities like food and education. Since more than 14 years, we are working selflessly to help them. As a Trust we are highly committed towards our social services to raise the bar of our society/moral values.
